Halloween in Sinkhill is a little different. Kids don’t go trick-or-treating, they go guising. They are expected to do party pieces – tell a joke, do a dance, act a skit - for their treats. And they can’t just wear any costume: they have to dress up as someone who’s died. Local legend says that failure to follow the rules risks invoking the murderous ire of Tattie-Bogle, Glasgow’s own turnip-headed Halloween spirit.
